Francisco Undurraga was one of the pioneers in the Chilean viticulture and winemaking. In 1882 he acquired an agriculture estate 34 kilometers away from Santiago, in the province of  Talagante where he planted vines which he had brought personally from Europe in lead capsules in order to resist the passage through the tropics.

The first shipment were made to United States in 1903. At present Viña Undurraga exports its wine to more than 70 countries in the five continents. We will visit the gardens-designed by the renowned French landscaper Pierre Dubois, the modern vilification plant and the underground cellars. Then we end up with a tasting of three Reserve wines. We will continue our exploring to the artisan’s village of Pomaire, famous for its local pottery, have lunch in a typical restaurant and walk along the local street full of people making art out of clay.
