Colchagua Valley Cycling Tour
Colchagua Valley is one of the most up raising wine valleys worldwide and the most develop valley focused towards tourism in Chile. Ecotours Chile Colchagua Valley Bike tour will take you to ride the Apalta Area, the area towards Peralillo, Lolol and to visit main plaza of Santa Cruz town and Colchagua Museum.
On each day we’ll cycle towards different wineries, touring on them, doing wine tastings and being able to ride inside wineries. We have selected the best 7 wineries in Colchagua Valley and we’ll end each ride with an amazing lunch paired with the best wines.

DAY 1: SANTIAGO – SANTA CRUZ – PERALILLO RIDE
We’ll leave early from your hotel in Santiago towards the south region of Colchagua .Once we get to Santa Cruz we check in to the hotel so you can put your cycling clothes and get ready to start your adventure. We’ll go with the vehicles towards Lolol where in the lookout point of the Cuesta La Lajuela, an outdoor wine tasting with some Chilean food will take place to recover energy for the following experiences. The biking starts with a 6 kms downhill, until reaching the main square and Santa Cruz Museum, where you’ll have time to tour for 1 hour.  Once the visit to the museum is finished, we’ll ride towards a very modern winery that loves to do only great blends, enjoying a wine tasting and explanation about how they produce their wines made by our host. Afterwards,   we’ll ride back to the hotel to prepare ourselves for a good massage or a nice walk through the vines located next to the hotel.  This day will end having dinner on a great restaurant with Italian influences.

DAY 2: QUITE ROADS OF YAQUIL AREA AND PALMILLA AREA RIDE
After breakfast, we’ll start cycling from our hotel, along a narrow and swinging road, passing the main square of Isla de Yaquil and arriving to a colonial winery 14 kms away. We will do a tour at the winery and be able to add some extra mileage inside the winery, riding next to the vines while people work on their daily activities. On this winery, you’ll experience to make your own wine; bottle, cork it and take it away with you. As well, we’ll eat some typical “Picadillo” that goes along with the wine and then continue biking to the town of Palmilla 11 kms away.  A Traditional legacy of an old family was left there, that with its history, legends and customs will put us into the right mood for a great lunch and wine pairing it with its best wines. Once the lunch ends, you can relax by the swimming pool, ask for a massage or just listen the birds sing.
We’ll get back to Hotel Terraviña on vans and get ready for our dinner at a restaurant with Chilean cuisine.

DAY 3:  APALTA VALLEY AREA RIDE
After breakfast, we’ll cycle one of the best red wines valleys of Chile, The Apalta Valley. Its microclimate and terroir makes it to be one of the best wines of the world. We’ll bike from hotel on a small road for 6 kms, then turn right and continue toward the Tinguiririca River. On km 14th, we make a left turn toward the Apalta valley and bike along beautiful scenery for a total of 27 Km, until arriving to our first winery, where the oldest vines of Colchagua Valley are located. We’ll tour and do a wine tasting here, then continue next door to our next winery, where the modern way of making wine mixes with the passion of the winemaker. We will tour their facilities, then bike back the same path until arriving to our next winery, where we’ll revive the past and learn about many old traditions. Here our biking will end and we’ll enjoy a tour with wine tasting and enjoy an a la carte lunch paired with their wines.
Once we get back to the Hotel you’ll have some time to rest and then we’ll do a private wine tasting from a winery we visited early that morning on Apalta Valley.
Then we’ll enjoy a ceviche dinner and get back to Hotel.

DAY 4: DE LUXE WINE TOUR AND LUNCH AT CASA LA APOSTOLLE WINERY – BACK TO SANTIAGO
After breakfast you’ll have time to relax by the pool or walk in town on your final day at Colchagua Valley. Then, we’ll depart at noon to a spectacular well known winery called Casa Lapostolle, where you’ll enjoy a tour and wine tasting of their best wines, followed by an amazing elite lunch.
Once we end lunch, we’ll head back to Santiago and drop you off at airport or to your hotel.
If you want to continue the cycling adventure in Chile’s wine country, let us know and we can add some rides on Maipo, Casablanca or Colchagua valleys. As well take a ride to the coast or at The Andes Mountain Range. End of services
